  1. The files port-1 through port-6 are the orginal port contributed by
  2. Andy Brager. They are for Pine 2.4 (which is still available).

  4. The directorties pico, pine and c-client contain adaptions of the
  5. original 2.4 port for Pine 2.29 (soon to be Pine 3.0) and to make them
  6. conform to the portability model we are using with Pine. We wish to
  7. keep the machine dependent code separate from the machine indepedent
  8. code so that we can rapidly incorporate ports to new platforms without
  9. affecting any of the already existing ports.

  11. To make use of these copy them into the corresponding pico, pine and
  12. c-client source directories. Unfortunately, these adaptions are
  13. probably not complete. The main reason for this is we don't have any
  14. such platform to test it on. Hopefully this will be a good starting
  15. point for someone who has such a platform and can finish off the job.
